Re: West Ham Essex?
A large proportion of our support do not live in Essex but Kent, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and all over London. Some even come from far away Devon etc.

It would be the end of me going and thousands of others. Got to be a non-starter.

Re: West Ham Essex?
My mate lives in Camden town . A season ticket holder . But always says the amount of west ham supporters who get off at Highbury and Islington or change trains there . is absolutely ridiculous. Of course that doesn't get mentioned by the media .they have an agenda.

How about the Yorkshire Dales, there's plenty of room there

Re: West Ham Essex?
1964 absolutely spot on . There's literally west ham supporters in every part of London and the south east. Which is exactly why we ain't leaving Stratford.

I live in Essex so it would be closer to me...

But still fucking no.

Re: West Ham Essex?
Were an East London club and that's all there is to it . One of my spud supporting mates . Despite living in bow was against the move to Stratford. Stating were a North London club. And that says it all . Football is proper territorial .

Re: West Ham Essex?
What a fucking ridiculous thread, West Ham will never move to Essex. As for the YT channels, they're an utter fucking embarrassment these days, Russ from the network, who I've always quite liked, put out a video today about us signing Ivan Toney. Pathetic.

Re: West Ham Essex?
No chance we’d move to Essex. Essex best chance is Southend or Colchester being rescued but they have been an absolute disaster in recent years. Both have potential to utilize a large catchment area though.

Re: West Ham Essex?
Stratford is ideal in terms of transport links and the number of pubs restaurants etc it is just the configuration of the ground that is the problem.
Those who work in the city can also get a few beers down there neck after work before going to the game.
Living near the end of the met line I would never get home from night games if we moved to deepest Essex.

Re: West Ham Essex?
I am in West London and usually get the Elizabeth line home from games via Paddington. I am always surprised how many fans I see that are travelling west from Paddington after a game. Nothing like the platforms going East from Stratford into Essex though. It would be fare to say about 80% of our fanbase must live out that way.

Still makes no sense to move the stadium out there as it must be easier for everyone in Essex to get into Stratford than to get to other places in Essex. Essex doesn't have central location.

Re: West Ham Essex?
wouldn't shock me at all if this was the long term plan for the toxic midget cunt when he got us away from upton park. I'm also sure kretinsky's only here until the land is sold and he can treble/quadruple his initial stake. this is what happens when you have scum running your club

Yup, he’s right. I am one of them and apparently don’t live too far from your mate. Always lots getting on/off the overground at H&I

Re: West Ham Essex?
Weren’t there only supposed to be 25,000 permanent seats at the current ground and the rest are going to shit…. Not really a long term solution.

Re: West Ham Essex?
Something else for the anti everything about West Ham to moan about I suppose.

All just speculation and no real evidence this has legs.

Fact is, if you knocked the bastard white elephant down you'd have more than enough room for a good sized FOOTBALL GROUND as well as a billion quid's worth of various developments.

No, really? And there's me thinking we're off to Basildon soon. Thanks, Syd.

Re: West Ham Essex?
This is going to be a long intl break, according to the usual YT channels we are moving to Essex, 25% of the club is going up for sale (even though we can't sell 10% that's been available for years, and the Gold family can't sell their shares) and we might be signing Ivan Toney!

Re: West Ham Essex?
Did we not have a 99 year lease at £2m a year?

Seems better value to us that spending £500m plus on a new stadium in Romford market

Sydney_Iron 11:02 Thu Mar 21
Re: West Ham Essex?
Of course it’s bollocks Manuel, and has been mentioned we have a 99 year lease ffs,

Agree on the YT click bait channels and going to be painful the next couple of weeks seeing what cringe they come up with, it’s bad enough when we play…….

Had to laugh at the suggestion any move to Essex could be down to Sullivan and some imaginary master plan he has though…..bwahahahaha

Nonsense, nothing is going to happen for about 91 years.

You do seem to be trying to stir rumours though - I wonder why?

Re: West Ham Essex?
Football stadia dont have huge value. The land might do. We have the deal of the century in the biggest transport hub in the UK. No way are they moving for the next few years.
